SEG Motol has started the production of motor oils for passenger cars at the oil production facility of the Fergana Refinery.
The product line currently includes three products: one synthetic oil — SEG Motol Hitech 5W-30, and two semi-synthetic oils — SEG Motol Litec 10W-40 and SEG Motol Lider 10W-40. All these products are manufactured using additive packages from leading European producers, based on high-quality synthetic and semi-synthetic base oils.
SEG Motol Hitech 5W-30 meets the specifications of the American Petroleum Institute (API) — SN/CF and the European Automobile Manufacturers Association (ACEA) — A3/B4, making it suitable for use in modern car engines. SEG Motol Litec 10W-40 and SEG Motol Lider 10W-40 are aimed at the mass segment of passenger vehicles in Uzbekistan, where semi-synthetic oils of this viscosity are particularly popular.
To launch the new line, an automated filling line of Italian manufacture was installed at the Fergana Refinery oil production facility. It is capable of producing over 10,000 tons of product per year in 4-liter and 1-liter containers. This equipment minimizes human involvement in the production of high-tech automotive oils.
Quality control is carried out in a certified laboratory equipped with unique instruments for the Republic. These allow for precise control of viscosity according to SAE standards, evaporation using the Noack method, foam formation, and other important parameters for motor oils.
“The number of passenger cars in Uzbekistan is growing every year — just last year, the fleet increased by over 400,000 vehicles. The demand for motor oils is also rising and has so far been mostly met through imports. Today, we are ready to offer high-quality Uzbek-made products that are comparable to foreign ones but more affordable,” said SEG Motol Director Bakhtiyor Asatullaev.
